Ahmed’s career started in Procter and Gamble Finance & Commercial departments where he managed to lead multi-business units across multiple geographies. He has been based in Cairo, Dubai, Beirut & Geneva. Ahmed’s roles ranged from financial analysis, financial planning, regional strategy setting, commercial planning & operational planning. Ahmed worked across Laundry, Baby Care, Feminine Care, Shave Care Business Units; he overlooked very diverse geographies across Middle East, Asia, and Europe like Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Morocco, Russia, Turkey, Poland, Balkans, Czech Republic, Hungary & Others. He worked with diverse management professionals from Egypt, India, & Western Europe and had diverse work teams reporting into him which enabled him to develop very diverse people management skills and cultural awareness aptitude. In his final role in Procter and Gamble Ahmed led the Procter and Gamble Near East Finance Team as company CFO also handling the Commercial Director role for Shave Care Business and managed to design, lead and implement the Egypt Business Crisis Management Plan to march through the massive financial crisis between 2015-2019 whereby we added almost 0.5Bn$ of value between commercial, operational and strategic choices. In 2019 Ahmed moved to the Education Industry leading the Egypt Education Platform whereby he led the establishment of the full team from scratch, integrating now 10 schools, 10 Nurseries, & vertically integrating a transportation business and a Top Education Content Publisher under the platform. Ahmed orchestrated transactions ranging from brownfield acquisitions, Greenfields, and Management contracts. He managed to establish the company strategy, procedures, policies, legal framework, governance processes, and morale and culture. EEP now is one of the biggest Education platforms in Egypt in a very short period of time, hosting 10 operational schools serving British, American, IB and National Curricula, 10 Nurseries, & Top Education Content Publisher, combined housing more than 3K employees.
